CNR was formed on November 15th, 2000 and has always been owned and operated by Stacey Nicholson and Bill Reagle. Although the Corporation was founded then, it’s history runs much deeper… in fact dating back to 1960. Many good people had a hand in shaping CNR into the Company that it is today and out of utmost respect, the chronological story is depicted below:

We would like to express our most sincere gratitude and appreciation to our Team Members (staff) as without them, there would be no CNR. Many of them came to us in traditional ways and the rest… well, maybe a twist of fate. But one thing is for sure is that we are very fortunate to be on the receiving end of some very good luck (people)! However the association began, we are extremely grateful for your efforts and the countless contributions you have made to this organization.
Owner Stacey Nicholson graduated from Mary Washington College with a degree in Marketing & Management in May, 1989. In December of that same year, he began his career in insurance as a District Sales Manager for Erie Insurance in Silver Spring, MD. Five years later he was promoted to Branch Sales Manager at that same office. He remained in that capacity for six more years until teaming up with Bill Reagle to form CNR. Stacey is the “N” in CNR.
Owner Bill Reagle graduated from Edinboro University of PA with a degree in Communications in December, 1989. In February 1990, he began his career in insurance as a Claims Representative for Erie Insurance in Silver Spring, MD. In June 1992, Bill transitioned to an insurance sales role with the McCartin Agency in Beltsville, MD. He remained in that capacity until teaming up with Stacey Nicholson to form CNR. Bill is the “R” in CNR.
The “C” in CNR belongs to Fred & Terry Crismond of the Crismond Insurance Agency. This Husband & Wife team opened their doors on South Street in Annapolis as a scratch agency for Erie Insurance in 1981. For 20 years they worked very hard and grew a nice book of business before trying their hand at something else. That is when Stacey and Bill came along to form CNR.
