Earthquake Tremors Felt in DC

An earthquake with a 3.6 magnitude hit at 5:00 a.m. ET Friday July 16, 2010 and was centered in Germantown, Maryland. The epicenter of the quake was approximately three miles below ground and was reported to be felt in a widespread area over four states and the District of Columbia. Yes Quakes do happen in Maryland.
